There are many moments in the 55-year history of Proiect Bucureşti that can be termed as significant. Here is a brief overview of some of these historic landmarks:
1953
on 1st January, Proiect Bucureşti Institute is established as an organization belonging to the City Hall, with a view to develop a general modernization plan for Bucharest and to design urban and housing buildings.
1956 - 1962
PB expands its team with professionals for new additional services: parks and landscape design, commercial buildings design, restoration and protection of historical and architectural monuments, topographic measurements, geotechnical studies and others.
1963
following a restructuring process, activities are organized into specializations: municipal works, urban, architecture, structures and electromechanical installations.
1994
SC Proiect Bucureşti SA becomes a 100% privately owned company.
2007
private Romanian and foreign investors take over the majority of shares of PB, install new state-of-the-art systems, restructure the Company and start establishing relationships with renowned international architectural & engineering firms, preparing PB...
