  • Romanian National Television

The center and the television studios down on Dorobantilor Street cover 3 buildings with a 60,000 square meters surface, in which used to function 3 big studios which incorporated, news bulletins, musical recordings and anchormen, technical annexes for the onset crew, audio-visual, workshops, settings, but also the editorial offices for broadcasting. The center’s tower ensured TV broadcasting from it's antennas and satellite.

It was given into administration between 1968-1970.

During 2002 and 2004, the center of news SRTV is built from the rehabilitation and restructuring of the Photo-Movie center. It’s functioning, due to the new technologies, became useless, occupying a semi-basement and a basement.

So, it was concluded that it was necessary to have specialized studios: for general news and for sports news.

The result of this project was the building of 3 studios – settings, broadcasting direction, necessary spaces for the adequate functioning of technical and technological flow, which are usually needed for a studio.

    From these we can mention:

    • - production spaces, recordings, processing, control and TV broadcasting annexed spaces – the laboratory, IT and signal center offices and editorial offices

    • deposit spaces, archive and documentation

    • spaces for the energetic, sanitary, heating and cooling systems

Through its' volume, architecture and coloring, the SRTV News Center, is to become a referential building, through it’s esthetics, harmoniously induced by the other buildings that form the SRTV headquarters.
